"The exhibition of the early works of Herman Han, the greatest 16th/17th century Gdańsk painter next to Anton Möller and Izaak van den Block, reminds of a Gdańsk during its heyday of art. Its special climate has for centuries fascinated not only painters, but also humanists and writers. The presentation of the secular, moralistic allegory in the Royal Castle in Warsaw highlights and recognises the role that art played in that metropolis, also known as the jewel in the Polish crown"  - prof. dr hab.
